The Story

The wild mallow is a light purple flower with deep pink veins running through its petals. It tends to grow where the land has been turned or disturbed, beautifying these sites as it grows. It is very rare in Scotland, and is a wonderful treat when discovered. The mallow is edible, and an exquisite tea can be made from the dried leaves, giving a soft, nutty flavor. The leaves can also be added to salads and cooked as greens.
