Rona is a small island in the Scottish Inner Hebrides, close to the islands of Skye and Raasay. Rona was previously home to 180 crofters, Scottish farmers who work and live off their own strip of land.
These crofts are found all over the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, and are traditionally passed down through generations, keeping the land in the family.
The island now has only a few residents, who are carefully rebuilding the island as an idyllic and unique holiday destination.
