Stronsay is one of the very special Orkney islands, off the north coast of Scotland.
Like much of Orkney, Stronsay is low-lying and very fertile, due to its underlying composition of old red sandstone.
Rare plants and exceptional birdlife thrive on the island, amongst beautiful sea-cliff formations and a rolling, lush landscape. Stronsay also boasts several beautiful, sandy beaches.
MaeVona founder, Maeve Gillies, cites an Orkney single malt whisky - the wonderful 'Highland Park' - as amongst her favorite drinks of all time.
