Oronsay is a mystical little island in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. It is linked to its larger sister island, Colonsay, by a tidal causeway, which can only be crossed during low tide.
Oronsay Priory, a remarkably well-preserved medieval house on the south side of the island, dates back to the 14th Century.
The island was recently declared an area of special protection, to conserve the rare Scottish birdlife which thrives amongst Oronsay's serene beauty.
